Obituary for Kenneth M. Merriman
Kenneth Murl Merriman was born on July 24, 1941, in Shafter Township, Fayette County near Filmore, Illinois into the Christian family of Melvin and Essie Osborne-Merriman where he was raised with his twin brother Keith and sister Evelyn. He wed Patricia Bruer, the love of his life, on July 2, 1971 in the First Methodist Church, Hillsboro, Illinois. Three daughters were born into this family and together they moved from Van Burensburg, Illinois to St. Elmo in 1994. Kenneth was a graduate of Vandalia High School, and retired as a boilermaker out of the local union #363. Besides raising a family, he enjoyed woodworking and playing with his grandchildren. �_ In His passing he leaves behind his: Wife:Patricia Merrimanof St. Elmo, Illinois 3-Daughters:Teresa (husband, Kelly) Edgarof Greenville, Illinois and their 2 daughters: Alyssa and Caryssa File Angela (husband, Chris) Mooreof St. Elmo, Illinois and their 4 children : Kyle Barnick and his daughters Isabella and Finleigh Barnick Ethan, Derrick and Emily Moore Christy (husband, Ron) Sandyof Mt. Vernon, Illinois and their daughter: Lisa Sandy 1-Sister-in-law:Joyce Merrimanof Filmore, Illinois He was preceded in death by his Parents: Twin Brother: Keith Merriman Sister: Evelyn and her husband Frank Griffin Granddaughter: Brittany Nichole Ricketts in infancy.�_ Memorials they may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Brownstown and or the Donor's Choice.
