William Newby Jr. was born into the Christian family one of 3 siblings to William Sr and Marjorie Winchester-Newby. He was born on June 30,1951 in the Clay County Hospital, Flora, Illinois. Jr Newby graduated from Flora
high school with the class of 1969. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam Conflict and Cambodia as an advanced radio operator, as enlisting for serving his county in 1972.
JR had firm interest in woodworking. JR was part owner of a Furniture Factory where he built China cabinets with curved glass doors. JR loved car racing on dirt tracks and built and owned race cars. JR competed in Gun Shooting competitions at various gun ranges. After meeting and later married Beverly Ann Schultz on July 1, 2006, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont, they resided in Altamont.
His last employment was with Frederking Construction until his health failed him, and he was forced to retire from the workforce. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church,
