Obituary for Sarah "Rosie" Homann
Sarah Rosalie "Rosie" Homann was born into the Christian family of Charles and Nina Birch-Fulk, the middle child of five siblings, on May 18, 1943 in Ingraham, Illinois. Rosie married the love of her life Larry Dwan Homann on August 5, 1967 on the family farm in Moccasin Township.Larry preceded her in death on October 13, 2015. Together, Larry and Rosie were blessed with two children: Richard and Crystal. Rosie was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and together Larry and Rosie shared a true passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, where they both enjoyed many vacations together touring on the bike. For the last five years Rosie had been stricken with an illness that restricted many of her activities. _In the community her activities included being an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ladies Auxiliaries of both American Legion Post #120 and the VFW Post #1769 in Effingham. Rosie was also a member of the Effingham County Farm Bureau, the Harley Owners Group ("HOG") and a past member of ABATE of Illinois. Most of all, Rosie was an "at home mother" assisting her late husband in raising a family. _Memorials they may be directed to the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont and or the Donor's Choice. _Because of the recent death of her husband 36 days ago, memorials may be more in order, for the family received an outpouring of flowers on her husband's recent death. The family would request casual attire.
