Obituary for Raymond Trost
ALTAMONT -- Raymond G. Trost, 91, of Altamont passed away peacefully at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont Illinois. Raymond G. Trost was born Dec. 27, 1919, in the Bethlehem Community, West Township near Altamont, one of six siblings into the family of William and Matilda Zander-Trost. Raymond was a life member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, being baptized into his faith on Jan. 4, 1920, and confirmed his faith on April 9, 1933. He married Eileen Louise Brauer on April 4, 1948. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2000. Raymond completed Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School and was a farmer his entire life. Raymond served in the U.S. Army and was a life member of Altamont VFW Post 7676 and the National Farmers Organization. He also was employed at Norge Plant, Effingham. He is survived by his son, Larry Ray Trost of Altamont; daughters, Nancy Eileen (husband, Alfred) Davis of Mason and Rita Jean (husband, Roger) Komorech of Springfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey (wife, Emily) Davis of Ottawa and Jennifer (husband, Richard) Erickson of Tuscola; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Audrey Davis of Ottawa and Andrew and Matthew Erickson of Tuscola; sister, Arvilla Beccue of Altamont; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Trost and Matilda Zander-Trost; wife, Eileen Louise Brauer-Trost; son-in-law, Joe Berberich; two brothers, Carl C. and wives, Irene and Laverne Trost, and one brother in infancy; two sisters, Eleonore and husband, Arthur Winter, and Wilma Trost-Riech; and brother-in-law, Clarence Beccue.

Service:

1:00 pm. Sunday November 27, 2011.

Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois with the Rev. Clayton G. Vail officiating.



Visitation:

Saturday evening, November 26, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
