Obituary for RUTH CLARA KROENING-BECCUE.
RUTH JOHANNA CLARA KROENING-BECCUE 89, of Casey, Illinois went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 4:00 AM in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana with her daughters at her side. Ruth Johanna Clara Kroening-Beccue was born January 28, 1923 in the Bethlehem Community, Effingham County near Altamont, Illinois. She was the daughter of George and Clara Buth-Kroening. Ruth was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. After graduating from Altamont Community High with the class of 1942 she moved to Springfield, Illinois to work at the First National Bank. While living in Springfield she met Wilbert E. Beccue. Ruth and Wilbert were married on October 12, 1947 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. They spent most of their married life on a farm in rural Cumberland County. Together, they were blessed with four daughters: Joann, Donna, Nancy and Debra and were able to share 60 years of marriage. Besides being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Casey, Illinois where she actively served as a Sunday School teacher, was a member of the Ladies Aid and of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She also enjoyed serving as a 4-H leader for 15 years, was an active member of Home Extension and especially enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. For the last few years, Ruth lived at Simple Blessings in Casey, Illinois enjoying family and friends. She is survived by Her 4-Daughters,Joann Ruth (husband, Wayne) Muhs of Newton, Illinois. Donna Kay (husband Dale) Busch Terre Haute, Indiana. Nancy Gail (husband Bill) Steele of Greenwood, Indiana. Debra Jean (Angel) Buenrostro of Tallahassee, Florida. 1-Sister Doris E. (h usband, Calvin) Rungeof Effingham, Illinois. 6- Grandchildren, 4-Step Grandchildren 6-Great Grandchildren and 5-Step Grandchildren.Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her ParentsGeorge and Clara Kroening Beccue.And her Husband Wilbert E. Beccue .1-Sister Lydia and her husband Arthur M Alwardt.
