Obituary for Paul Wayne Jones
Paul was born October 30, 1965 in Clinton, Illinois to Lewis “Earl” and Carol Ann -Wilson Jones. The family moved to the Brownstown area and Paul graduated from the Brownstown high school class of 1983.
Paul then enlisted in U.S. Army in 1983 and proudly served his Country. After completing his last year of service at Fort Carson, Colorado Paul remained in Colorado and worked in the construction business with Big Sky Excavation Company and helped build the Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and later became the maintenance supervisor for the facility. After leaving Colorado he worked for Pettus Mechanical, then on to work for Hunter Appliance in Vandalia, then taking employment with AES Mechanical where he was a journeyman. Paul was forced to leave the business world due to his incurred health issues.
Paul loved his children and grandchildren beyond measure. Paul loved fishing and bowling. He was selfless, generous, loving and did his best to show loving kindness to everyone he met. He would even fix equipment at hotels where he stayed to help small business owners. He was always a hardworking man and helping others. With his huge heart Paul was always thinking of others as he made monthly donations to St. Jude’s Hospital, ASPCA, and the Shriners. There was never a dull moment where he was around, for he could make you smile, laugh and make you forget if you were having a bad day. Paul always kept a positive attitude all the way to the end.
