Obituary for Novita Pauline Gulley
Novita Pauline Lowder-Gulley was born into the Christian family one of four siblings of Owen and Maggie Edwards-Lowder. She began her long life on September 10, 1927 near Mason in Effingham County, Illinois. Novita married Rue Pershing Gulley on December 19, 1944 in Sparta, Wisconsin and Rue preceded her in death on March 18, 1992. Novita was very active most of her life which mostly included raising and caring for her family. She also found time to be involved with the First Christian Church, owned and operated a truck stop on old route #40 near Altamont, was employed by the Ramada Inn in Effingham and was a member of VFW Post #7676 Ladies Auxiliary of Altamont. �_Memorials they may be directed to the Evergreen Nursing Home in Effingham and or the Donor's Choice. She is survived by her: 2-Daughters:Loretta Darlene Moriearty ,Effingham, Illinois and her daughter: Crystal (husband, John) Habing and their son: Michael John Eugene Habing and their daughter in law: Kerrie A.
