Obituary for Norma Faye Flowers
Norma Faye Flowers 74 years old, of Effingham formally of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon April 19, 2022 at 1:50 PM at the Evergreen Healthcare
and Rehabilitation Center, Effingham Illinois.

Norma was born into the Christian family one of seven siblings to Ray and Ione Feezel-Irey. She was born on October 15, 1947 in the Dr. Lewis Hospital, St. Elmo, Illinois. She was baptized and confirmed her faith in the Brethren Lutheran Church, St. James, Illinois by the Rev. Gordon Solheim. Norma graduated from St. Elmo high school with the class of 1966 and furthered her education attending Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky for three years. While in college she met Gary Lewis Flowers. Later Gary and Norma were married in 1968. Gary preceded her in death.
Norma and family lived in Indiana until 1985, where she was relator a before moving back to St. Elmo.
Her life in the local area was a home maker and with her husband raised a family of three sons. She was employed at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont and at the Aquity Greenhouse in St. Elmo for a number of years before her retirement. Norma loved all her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching baseball, football and golf. She also enjoyed British television shows, reading and classical music.

Dax Ray (wife, Jessica ) Flowers Effingham, Illinois

2-Sisters: Dorothy Jean (husband, Bob) Grant of Mt. Vernon, Illinois
Alice Fern (husband, Mickey) Moore St. Elmo, Illinois
and Several nieces and nephews.
