Obituary for Lorna I. Schultz
Lorna Ida Hilda Brauer-Schultz was born in the Bethlehem Community, Mound Township, Effingham County near Altamont January 8, 1925 into the Christian family, the oldest of 4 siblings, of Martin August and Louise Maria Stuemke-Brauer. She began her long life on the family farm, Mound Township near Altamont, Illinois. She was baptized on January 18, 1925, attended the Lutheran school and confirmed her faith on April 10, 1938. She also married Edmund Oscar Schultz on March 3, 1946 all in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2001. She is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, a life member of the VFW Post #7676 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a dedicated volunteer for the Golden Nutrition Center all in Altamont. She did most enjoy quilting and over the years donated not only her time but her blankets and such to the VA Hospital, FISH organization and the Catholic Charities. She also was employed at the Aloha Inn in Altamont for a number of years. Mostly her responsibilities were a homemaker and assisted her late husband in raising a Christian family. Memorials they may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery and or the choice of the Donor. She is survived by her: 2-Sons:Allen (wife, Lorene) Schultzof Altamont, Illinois and their 2- sons: Jonathan (wife, Connie) Schultz and their two children Jo Anna and Will Rodney (wife, Karie) Schultz and their two children Kendyl and Garrett Alvin (wife, Debbie) Schultzof Altamont, Illinois and their 3- children: Steve (wife, Holli) Schultz and their daughter Kylee Kevin (wife Carrie) Schultz and their two children Keegan and Kennedi Tiffany (husband, Luke) Wasson and their son Carter 3-Daughters: Beverly Ann (husband, William) Newbyof Altamont, Illinois Barbara Sue Hallsof Danville, Illinois and her son: Jarred (wife, Abby) Chandler and their daughter Addisyn Brenda Kay (husband, Rock)Baird of Altamont, Illinois and their 3-children: Dana (husband, Tim) Pasley and their 2-children Sierra and Pearson Amy (husband, Brian) Richmond J. I. (Special Friend, Megan) Baird Sister:Mrs. Edward Leona Delaneyof St. Elmo, Illinois She was preceded in death by Her: Parents, Husband Brother: John Brauer in Infancy Sister: Eileen and her husband Raymond Trost Brother-in-law: Edward Delaney
