Obituary for Jack Allen Lockett
Jack was born in Litchfield, Illinois on October 10, 1930 one of four siblings into the Christian family of Ralph and Anna Eliason-Lockett. Jack moved from Monee, Illinois to St. Elmo about 1985. He was a member of the Jacksonville Church of Christ. Jack was an over the road truck driver for over 41 years and retired from Yellow Freight in Effingham in 1990. He married Janet Laverne Depriest in Watseka, Illinois on January 7, 1983. Jack had a lifelong passion for deer hunting and the outdoors. He was member of the Prairieland Muzzle Loaders in Sullivan where he was the club champion for 3 years. He also belonged to the Effingham Gun Club, the Cowboy Action Shooting "SASS", a lifelong member of the NRA, the Gatch Lake Trapshooting Club and was most proud of a lifelong member of the Teamsters #710 and #126. �_ �_Memorials they may be directed to the Donor's Choice.
