Eleanor Fay (Peg) Stuckemeyer 91 years old of Altamont, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully, on Wednesday evening March 4, 2025, at the Hot Springs Village in Garland County, Arkansas after a brief time with a lingering illness.
A visitation will begin on Wednesday March 12, 2025, for family and friends from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Altamont, Illinois.Funeral Services will be on March 12, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Gary Fortcamp officiating.
Christian burial rites will be performed at the Church Cemetery, Altamont following the funeral services.
Peg was born in Salem, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas A. and Aven N. (Coleman) Holland on November 22, 1933. She graduated from Altamont Community High School. She married Gilbert Richard Stuckemeyer on August 23, 1953, in Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. John Meyer officiating. Gilbert “Gibb” preceded her in death on April 5, 1995. To this union were born 3 Sons: Steven Richard, Phillip Lee, and John David Stuckemeyer.
Mrs. Stuckemeyer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was active to the Ladies Bible Study, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Flower Committee and Alter Guild. While raising a family Peg was employed by Mary’s Café, 4-Way Café,the Altamont Bakery, City of Altamont, and the First National Bank of Altamont.
Peg is survived by her family: Son: John (wife Kate) of Richardson, Texas and their children: Jack and Jessica and Stephanie, Laura and Eric are grandchildren of Steve Stuckemeyer Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins
Peg was preceded in death by her: Husband: Gilbert R. Stuckemeyer 2--Sons: Stephen Richard Stuckemeyer Phillip Lee Stuckemeyer
