Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont, and from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Elsie Shirley Braasch-Hammer was born Dec. 28, 1934, at home in Altamont. She was the eighth of nine children of Emil and Anna Klautsch-Braasch. She was then raised by her uncle Adolph and Louise Kroening-Braasch because of difficult economic times.
