Obituary for Mable Lee Askins
Mable was born into the Christian family of William and Mable Watson-Grant, where she shared the house hold with her 8 siblings. She began her long life on August 25, 1923 at home in Altamont, Illinois. Mable was a seamstress and a homemaker her in entire life. She retired from the Princess Peggy clothing company. She was very proud of graduating from the 8th grade and wanted to continue her education. Besides raising a family with her late husband in her later years she volunteered for numerous activities. Mable's great grandfather donated the land for the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, as was named for his wife Moriah. �_Memorials they may be directed to Mount Moriah Cemetery, % Linda Evans, 724 North Walnut Street, St. Elmo, Illinois 62458 �_She is survived by her: Sons:John M. (wife, Pattie) Askinsof Manito, Illinois Robert Michael Askinsof Indialantic, Florida Daughter:Sharon (husband, Jerry) Harmisonof Verna, Illinois �_9-Grandchildren, 13-Grand Children, and 6-Great-Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her: Husband:Charles Henry Askins 3-Brothers:Ray Leon Grant in his youth Richard and wife Doris Grant Ray Anthony Grant 5-Sisters:Beulah and husband Richard Ambuehl Bonnie Lucille and husband Eugene Hannah Cleo and husband Arnold Crawley Ruth Delian and husband Lemuel Hartman Iris Nadine Grant�_

Tuesday December 22nd at 2:00pm�_
